reset barn

reset barn
i need a reset barn
a space of timber
leaf and loam
corded with shade
and supple sorrowed solitude
a waiting place
more heart than home
where crosswise tears
fallen forgiving
form diamond paste
a lazy lustre
all my own making
smoothed corners
released limbs
freed of the faking
i need a reset barn
where the lap of water creeps close
tugging composed draughts
from spotless air
far from the lamps at scream
lit by ageless stars
passing the time of day
with the moon alone
i need a reset barn
