we made this

we made this
wrapped beneath tepid
blankets of post unopened
scarcity stalking the gate
we are all gone starlets
remembered only in our
eight-month whispers
we sacrificed community
in favour of tranquil greed
somewhere around 1997
on bonfires stacked sky high
as we burned analogue
into digital history
duped into looking left
we blindly unguarded our thresholds
inviting in the peddler of lies;
that grinning vampire
clad in the bluest cloak of red
face down your walls
for they are all you have
fingers dependent on buttons
swiping, pawing
and dragging an epidemic
of artificial unintelligence
this is how it ends
with an absence of touch
we made this

The famous SciFi writer Ray Bradbury
The famous SciFi writer Ray Bradbury said that where books are burned today, people will be burned tomorrow. Also reminds one of the Nazis massive bonfire demonstration burning of subversive (as evil) books in Berlin, any book that didn't agree with Hitler'sfacism, almost defiantly it rained and they had to resort to petrol.
