a perfect snowglobe

Love
quietly stands in a memory
like a letter written in the universe.
I miss you;
i miss your half smile in an icelnadic winter snow.
So long ago,
before tourists changed reality,
before modernity grabbed the streets and ripped the past apart,
before the world chased the sea away and sold iceland to the highest bidder.
Before the seals left in a depth of sadness
and sighed knowing their world was forever gone.
before dreams became shallow and tourists were far and few between;
knowing it was not so long ago to me.
On the hills between forever and love,
you stood there in your black wool coat challenging the sky and the wind.
Time would stand still when i saw your eyes;
everything forgotton but that moment frozen in a timeline;
a simple gaze that stopped everything surrounding the place we stood;
a love that was protected within a snowglobe of stardust.
I miss you upon the letters I write upon my keyboard or the music I create;
poems that form complicated strings across the timeline into connections of a universe
challenging the physics of highways of time.
And. in that moment,
in the winter's ray of light that runs to the grey of the sky,
I see you following my thoughts in footsteps within a perfect snowglobe.

"in the winter's..."
My favourite line: "in the winter's ray of light that runs to the grey of the sky,"
Congratulations of the cherries.
