Don't want to be reminded

As little as it was of a keepsake, it's gone now, I somehow deliberately did it, Looks like i'm slowly letting go...letting go of something that didn't happen in the first place, slowly sliding my hand off yours; Enough of having to use my imagination to see us walking down that path, the path  we never had the guts to take, I'm getting rid of us tonight, and tomorrow, and the day after, the upcoming month...Until only memories' dust is left, Don't you  go and blow on the dust, thinking it does some kind of magic, for it does nothing but make the little pieces, that you've learned to ignore so well,alive again, As if you've blown life into them, causing nothing but trouble.
