CHINESE POETRY
HORSES
The stallions graze on the plains,
Pure black their manes.
The wind wails among the trees.
Black barks under withered leaves.
Autumn left its marks
In the horse's hoofs :
Crumpled yellow leaves adhered
To the shining silver trail of each step.

VICTORY
With my horses I roam
The boundaries of this land.
The King happy rejoices
On the glory of the last victory.
The chariots will cross the land,
The King's officers unwilling
To leave behind the women,
Who had rejoiced in love deffeat.

QUEST
An admirable quest!
Along the road, the searchers,
The arrows ready for the piercing wound.
Pain to our enemies!
The horses bent their heads
To the morning freezing rain.
We search for our enemies,
Riding horses faster than the wind.
