Something Known

Time weighs heavy on curious minds,

a tapered symmetry reveals a simple thread.

The world’s strange wonders drift luminous and blind;

   something is known but left unsaid.

The sands look delightful, the dogs run in the park

as we walk arm-in-arm around Tintagel Head.

The days grow colder - shadows in the dark;

   something is known but left unsaid.

Memory sings an introit in spaces to be filled,

promising love on an arrowhead.

Treasure can be found and joy distilled

   when something is known

                                             but never

                                                            left unsaid.
