The Heart Breakers

Home
Still
Cold
Warm
I open my eyes,
then close them.
Always the same
Safe, peaceful
Not obviously frightening
So bland
Not like the world out there.
An explosion of colours
Red
Green
Yellow
Red.
I close my eyes and turn to my side,
She's there
I open my eyes,
She's not.
The great wars guard the white terror
Territory
Terrorist
Terror
The wind guards my spirit
The rain hides us all
It's so strong
Us, so weak
I feel the spirits jolt beneath me
They are angry...
With them?
With us?
We try but we can never defeat them.
They are seperated
Greedy
The world artificially spins around them
Gold
Crops
Land
Us.
A list
A check list
We are in their way
Too conspicuous?
No
We are who we are
Poor, Barren, Lost, Hungry
' eat our own dung.'
We've already tried that
They have not seen mourning unless they have seen us in our happiest moments
We are target practise.
My home
Family
Earth
Ripped apart
These are no pioneers
Just heart breakers.
