Jacob’s dementia was beyond gone. He remembered nothing of his life. He didn’t recognise family or friends. Left to die in a home, his non-existent memory constantly surprised the nurses. Today he screamed loudly at breakfast, “A Mars a day helps you Work, Rest and Play.” Yesterday during lunch, “Put a tiger in your tank.”
