Lazing about
Purring and black,
Sleek and wiry whiskers twitch.
Tails that swish
And staring eyes
Stare and wink,
Saucer and slit.
Slanted almonds that glow in the dark;
Pads and paws
Soft and round.
Sharpened claws that retract
Scratch and catch,
One dead mouse.
