When you pushed her down
Onto jagged glass
And splintered shards
Of wooden frames
That pierced and sliced
And drew the blood –
You smiled.
Sneered at her and stood,
As she crawled
With ragged breath
Combined with tears,
Trying to flee,
Turning to see
You –
Closing windows.
The outside shouldn’t hear
The screaming
On the inside,
Expelled in fear.
Torn skin,
Torn clothes,
Blood on her fingers,
Blood on her toes.
Time to run.
