Dragging the trunk from tumbled bed,
Planting the seed, to heave to stand.
Dead branches numb, need light to lift,
With deep inhale we reach for the sun.
Flowers unfurl to drink in dew,
To wilt at dusk, bow down to ground.
Shedding the leaves in carpet mulch,
Protect from frost, turning the bed.

Another nice one. May I ask what you mean by turning the bed - do you mean turning the soil over? It's a lovely turn of phrase.
