Evening slipped
The hour is late
Midnight depths
No light penetrates
What says the night
When it’s disturbed
It says nothing
Silence unnerving
What move does it make
When it’s stirred
It goes no where
Stillness unswerving
Fear not the night
Its only plan
To hide the bright
From mortal man
Blame not the darkness
For your undoing
No need to run
Nothing’s pursuing
No terror hides
The midnight hour
Walk the night
No need to cower
Feel the coolness
Of the night
Embrace its silence
Feel no fright
With the darkness
You must merge
Learn to love
The primal urge
Feel the velvet
Of the night
Learn to trust
Your second sight
Comes the moon
Silvery seeping
The night is for lovers
Not for weeping
