Talk it Out

The world is a crazy place these days
Politicians speak double talk
It makes my head spin
You say I really should let the cat in
All I want to do is run away
And maybe I’ll do that some other day
But you’re still you and I am still me
You say you think eternity
Is a long time
And I say I think Australia
Is a state of mind
But what does it matter
Nothing changes
Wont be no molecules rearranging
Crime still happens
And it seems to pay
Some people know no other way
But I’m still me and you’re still you
The ocean’s still deep and the sky’s still blue
No need to shout
Talk it out!
I know being on the outside looking in
Is better than being on the inside looking out
At least I can still get about
Not chained to you or anything crazy
The worse I am is a little bit lazy
Volcanoes, hurricanes and tsunami
Makes us want to run to mommie
Natural disasters
Are happening faster
The wrinklies are put
Out to pasture
But I’m not you and you’re not me
If the worst we do is disagree
Then maybe the world ain’t such a bad place
And there’s still hope for the human race
No need to shout
Talk it out!
