The pool of words
Lay dormant
Simmering, churning
Waiting for just the right moment to spill out
White hot now, they erupt
Pouring out stream upon stream
Bubbling up with urgent need
Racing to find an outlet
Old magma first
Having laid deep below the surface for years
Coagulating then building up
Primary melt
Rising to the peak
Oozing slowly out
Then, faster and faster
Red hot, racing
So much pent up emotion
New lava words flow
Layer upon layer
Creating new soil
Then seeping, slowing
Dormant once again
But deep below the surface
The sleeping pool of words
May once again simmer into life
