Out of the dark there was a rat
and then I wasn’t Snow White anymore.
The ground glittered, sinister somehow,
I watched my feet and wanted summer.
Light blurred by the rain meant you waiting.
I wanted to hold the dusk a little longer,
But I curled wires into my pockets,
Stepped out of the cold.
