No lifeboat coming
No lifeline around tiny waists
No rescue

Holding tighter and sinking

I saw you there cold and shivering

I am scared

This is the bravest of wars.
Two brave warriors.
Ferocious
Snarling
A fight long began
An army
Strong, silent, menacing
Surrounding
Eyes empty
Protect
