Granny cooks just for hours but not breakfast or lunch,
Karen truly thinks it could well be brunch,
Granny celebrates nothing, not even her birthday,
Not the springtime, or bedtime that seems oh so far away,
"Come her dear child and taste of this spoon.
Karen sups of the offerings and mouth does so croon,
"What is it? It's terrible! Karen exclaims.
"Ahhh too many Tilly Spots but who is to blame?
"Tilly spots? What are they?
"The spaces between the chocolate, almost colourless they are grey.
So with that Karen scoffs even more,
And the taste becomes a flooding galore,
A fresh new look at the chocolaty taste,
Granny never lets her down and it doesn't go to waste,
"Nanny I am so very tired there is no time to waste.
"Alright off to bed then but remember that taste.
"How can I forget the taste from the spoon?
"In dreams you can forget anything to get away from the gloom.
With that Nanny turned to the stove and continued to cook,
Karen scampered to the bathroom almost tipping the books,
There truly are shelves everywhere is this very house,
She would not surprised if they were being read by a mouse,
A secret little mouse that lives in the walls,
And dreams of becoming oh so very tall.
