I’ve just had an apostrophe

The floor under the window
is getting lighter
but when I quote Bob Hoskins in
‘Hook’, you switch on the light
to write a speedy poem on
a page already containing
cookery books, nursery rhymes,
dictaphones and subliminal messaging.
Tomorrow we’ll eat cous cous with
soy sauce and honey, write poems
with Luke and John,
devise the treatment for
Broadbeat,
but I’ve just had an apostrophe
and I’m laughing in an attic room
‘till five.
