Autumn weather getting cold
Fires burning fiery gold
Warm, not cold
Winter’s coming be prepared
Storms, lightning, shivering cold
Dogs walking, people talking, wrapped up and ready
Leaves falling browns and golds
Windy stormy damp and cold
Juicy fruits sweet as gold
But soon, at the end of the day
When you’re all wrapped up in bed
You’re thinking about the day it has been

lilyallenfan I really enjoyed this poem. When I read it to myself, it has a nice rhythm - especially the first half.
I particularly like this line: "juicy fruits sweet as gold" - it's an unusual thing to say about fruit but it's very true!
