ALL SHE DID WAS LOVE HIM

Such silent sadness in her eyes
As she gazes at her bridal gown.
The hurt’s too deep- she cannot cry
All she wants to know is – Why?
Is he just afraid to settle down?
It would’ve been kinder to tell lies –
All she did was love him.
She should have seen, the signs were there
Just like they were the time before.
Only two more weeks – could he not wait?
Did he really mean to humiliate?
He could have walked out of the door
As she shook confetti from her hair.
All she did was love him.
Should she again pack the dress away
Or sell on e-Bay – Just get rid?
But maybe this is just a fling –
Another affair, a trivial thing.
Best keep the gown, just keep it hid.
Yes he’ll be back. This time he’ll stay:
All she did was love him.
