THE PUDDLE PIXIES - MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Twas Christmas Eve when Santa woke
And looked around – Said :it’s a joke -
Snows melting, the trees are dripping wet
It’ll be the warmest Christmas yet!’
Then Chief Elf Holly shook his head
‘The reindeer are moulting sir’ he said
‘And I think they’re all getting sick-
You must do something Santa – Quick!’
So Santa turned and hurried back
To email Puddle Pixie Jack.
Then Jack called Merlin, and in a trice
They joined Santa watching the melting ice.
He sighed. ‘My reindeer cannot fly
It’s far too hot – I don’t know why!
But if I had to name a name
I’d say the witches were to blame!’
Then Merlin waved his magic staff
Looked in his crystal, let out a laugh:
I have a message from the sun –
He thinks the Summer has begun!
His clock has broken, he’s lost the time
So he don’t know whether to sleep or shine!’
So Jack ran over to the elves’ workshop
Where work had come to a sudden stop
All the elves were on the floor –
Too hot to make toys any more.
Jack pulled Elf Holly to the table:
‘Just one more job if you are able
You must make the sun a brand new clock
With a loud alarm and a good tick-tock.
No batteries – just solar power –
It must be ready in the hour!’
So Holly hammered and mopped his brow –
It was so hot in the workroom now.
But soon a clock, all gold and gleaming
Was given to Santa, who was by now steaming.
Then Merlin said a magic spell
The elves and Jack joined in as well
The clock vanished in a starry cloud
And Father Christmas said out loud
‘Well done my friends - it’s getting late
But all we can do now is wait’.
They had not waited very long
When Jack shivered and put his coat back on.
‘I do believe it’s getting chilly –
I’d best get back to Luke and Billy.’
And as fresh snow settled on the ground
And new frost sparkled all around
Merlin’s staff was waved, a spell was said
And Jack was back home in his bed.
Santa did his rounds that night
The sleigh and reindeer timed it just right.
The sun was back where he should be
And gifts were under every tree
For puddle pixies, for me, for you -
Santa left gifts for the witches too.
The moral of this tale is clear
Don’t judge someone until you hear
All the facts – or you’ll be sad.
Being a witch doesn’t make you bad!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
