Music to my Ears

How tenuous the parent child relationship
Often taut like a violin string
Producing the cat like screeching of an untrained player
Only later into adulthood are we able to adeptly play
Our bows rosined well over the years
Our ears able to hear each minute note
Knowing when to change the melody
Hoping it's not too late for the grand symphony
Those strings still stretched tight
Never break, only bend.
