Goodbye

In this pouring rain I stand,
Whispering these quiet words to you.
Aching to scream for you.
I see pain and suffering,
hidden in these teardrops of the gods.
This cold, cold night we suffer.
It a passing we both knew would come;
After all, all good things must turn.
This sour taste in my burning mouth.
It ties my tongue down, holds the scream.
And in my silence I see you turn,
and watch that puddle splash over your shoe.
In my silence I watch you leave me.
And alone in this pouring rain I stand,
my tears meeting the gods.
My sorrow reaching out from my trembling body;
To my knees I fall, this pain a weight too heavy.
And so, I watch you leave,
My reward for my mistakes.
You fade into the darkness, and the rain surrounds you;
It hides you from me, and leaves me try scream my cries for you.
Goodbye... May you live for eternity, As I suffer in it.
