They came in an army
the wind, the rain, the snow
they stripped you of your glory
the wind, the rain, the snow
now you stand but naked
silhoutted against the sky
beaten, battered, branches black
but your time will come again
when your strength
has resurged once more
and these soldiers
they will march off
in search of another war.
They come in an army
experienced well trained
earth's eternal soldiers
the wind, the snow, the rain.

I admire the thinking behind this one, Amy and the repetition works very effectively.
