Elephant Pig

Have you seen an elephant pig?
Their favourite food is roasted fig.
Would you know if you should meet,
What it was coming down your street?

Would it have a long trunk or snout?
Perhaps you'd think to call it a trout?
But isn't a trout a small brown fish?
That's what we'll say if you so wish

What of its ears, what would you say?
Floppy or pointy, pink or grey?
Now how about one of each ear
All the better for it to hear.

So when you're walking down the street,
And this is the creature that you meet,
You can say hello, I've heard about you
You're an elephant pig, how'd you do?

Don't be surprised if he won't say much,
With a trout mouth he can't talk as such,
Smile, wave and continue your way,
You and the elephant pig have a lovely day.
