Skin Colour
Sour milk white, porridge like, plucked, mottled chicken breast, freckles, moles (some with hairs)pinkish, lobster red (on that visit to Calpe). Not smooth caramel or even toned. No freckle removing cream works to rid them (Sunday school kids will still be able to count them like they are somehow flawed with a permanent rash).
Hair
- Thick, wavy, cow’s lick uncontrollable.
- Teased, tonged and curled for special occasions.
- Teenage Pin-up Perm. Use an afro comb, lots of water, thick blue gel, diffuser to hold that curl.
- Cut short pre-pregnancy for the easy to maintain look, flick sides out like wings.
- Post pregnancy long would’ve been better now they are broken wings.
Noses
Slightly bent, crooked, sharp from the mother’s side. *Perhaps broken by a bar of soap. Nose’s that have that Dickensian quality.
The Fraser Girls
Have the same typically Scottish skin, punctuated with freckles slowly turning into plectrum shaped age spots. Their mother worked hard to tame the untameable using hot tongs, a stern look and a desire for perfectionism. Unobtained. Only one daughter has the thick excess hair now; like two heads worth. The others have threaded thinly out. Their noses have a similar quality however the middle daughter has a slightly crooked one when she became too acquainted with a bottle of Budweiser on a night out. *Their mothers nose is the aforementioned one broken by a thrown bar of carbolic soap.

I like this, but I wouldn't
I like this, but I wouldn't classify it as a poem, more decriptive prose, but then again, I'm not sure what a poem is.
