A Bovine Footprint

This poem from my archive was written in 2008 and preceded both the 2012
Paris Climate agreement and the current COP26
We’d be wise to heed the warning
spelled out by Mother Nature:
counteract global warming
or risk your planet’s future.
Some men who are unaware
would find it rather strange
that pumping CO2 in the air
can cause climate change.
People are against or for
but one opinion is prevalent:
gas-guzzling 4x4s
are bad for the environment.
The world is on a mission
to become ecological
and to cut carbon emission
does not seem illogical.
But I keep racking my brain:
can anyone tell me how
we can get rid of methane
produced by many a cow?

I am sure I heard that it's possible sea weed might help with cow methane? Although it won't help about CO2 rising from cutting down forest to make grazing land or grow soya for animal feed
