Come Into My Parlour (I.P.)

There was a whiff
of eau de cologne;
faint, yet pervasive.
Her voice was inviting,
her tone persuasive.
Was she the spider
and I the fly?
I felt uncomfortable
but don’t know why.
I thought I’d been
put to the test,
when she sent me
an ambiguous text.
She openly flaunted
her voluptuous bust
erroneously hoping
to generate lust.
Being the best friend
of my loving wife
could she be the cause
of domestic strife?
I had the suspicion
it could be a honeytrap
and they wished to prove
I am a gullible sap.
So, nothing happened.
Though I’m not a saint
a laughable dupe
I certainly ain’t.

I've just noticed this, Luigi
I've just noticed this, Luigi, and wondered how I'd missed it, but I notice you have it under 'story' - I do tend to keep up mostly with the 'poetry' section. Wondered if it was a mistake!?
