There are updates 24/7,
fewer deaths yesterday,
thank heaven.
We may be tempted
to shout hooray
and say, at long last
the danger of variants,
be they Alpha, Beta,
Delta or Gamma
are things of the past,
There is a belief.
that normality is here
but the respite is brief:
not just yet I am told
can you wait a bit longer,
till you are 100 years old?

We've got it bad here in South Africa now and it's just getting worse, looks like many are careless, wild and reckless, and desperate, and most others seem to be lulled into some kind of feeling of security. As in denial.
