My thanks to Fred.

 
We have the strictest lockdown here
with curfews between 6pm and 6am
and need to get permission to go out.
It can get you down! Hope you are OK.
 
The government can't have any doubt,
we're expecting a cure anytime soon.
The politicians have lost sight of reality,
but we carry on and try to stay sane.
 
Asking for relaxations is rather in vain,
we have the strictest lockdown here.
We are alright and obeying the rules:
it can get you down! Hope you are OK.

What I find interesting, Rachel, is that they are not my words. All I did was to mix them up and structure them.

Like baking a cake! Yes and the guy to find a cure for this Virus can make a lot of money. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Yes Tom but even to make a cake requires a certain amount of skill.
It goes without saying that a cure for this virus is going to be a money spinner.
