One summer morning
I got out of my bed
and saw two foxes
sunbathing by the shed.
I was thunderstruck.
fascinated to observe
that those two animals
could have such a nerve.
You may think me naïve
for being so flummoxed
because it was obvious
that I'd been outfoxed.
I thought the situation
had to be unique
and just for a moment
was unable to speak.
From what I read today
it appears that I shall
have to change my views
and find a new rationale.
Many animals, it seems,
often play on the lawn
in the middle of the night
and even early dawn.
I'm told foxes and badgers
have recently been seen
to have a jolly good time
jumping on a trampoline.

Lovely poem Luigi,
Lovely poem Luigi,
we did have a family of foxes that played in our garden and neighbours, but haven't seen them for quite a few months, so I'm thinking they've probably moved on.
I had this vision of badgers and foxes bouncing around on a trampoline...so amusing to imagine.
Nice one Luigi.

Good writing Luigi.
Good writing Luigi.
I love to see foxes and I've often enjoyed a little trampolining myself but I would never have put the two of these things together.
You're only a couple of clowns and a trapeze artist away from a full circus.

deserted streets
"Many animals, it seems, often play on the lawn in the middle of the night and even early dawn". They say in the big cites there are really many foxes probably living off garbage.
I can vouch for that I was in the street many times in the early hours deathly silence with my dog sometimes a dog barked at us I went to visit the garage guys still awake, petrol pump guys myself once had that job too.
In the street very big birds running around calling that wierd harsh sound around running everywhere called in afrikaans "kiewiete" I think. Run very fast.
