We've had the Finale
of 'Gavin and Stacey'
the comedic TV series
which was rather racy.
 
The show developed
over seventeen years;
it told of joy, of dreams, 
of doubts and tears.
 
It showed grown men
who were having a ball
but it was about friendship
and love, most of all.
 
Some of the characters
were as hard as nails
but bonded as they met
in Essex or in Wales.
 
Yet for Smithy and Nessa
there was unending strife
though they were destined 
to become man and wife.
 
There was Gwen and Dave,
Pete, Dawn, Pam and Mick,
with Uncle Bryn wanting
to play a childish trick.
 
There were mentions
of an odd fishing trip
but of that event
there wasn't any clip.
 
As the cast bowed out
saying the final goodbye
I imagined Gavin's mum,
Pam, asking why. *

Hi Kris. I had heard of Gavin and Stacey but never watched it as I didn't think it was my cup of tea but when the final episode was announced with great fanfare, I decided to have a go and found it enjoyable and had to catch up with previous showings. 
Many thanks for letting me have your views.
