The corner shop 
sold fish and chips
so full of flavour
we licked our lips.

But when the owner
won on the lottery,
his interest turned
to making pottery.

He closed the place
and went for good
leaving us pining
for his tasty seafood.

The win did not prove to be a burden, Rhiannon. On the contrary, the newly acquired wealth allowed him to exercise philanthropy and to develop his recently discovered artistic talent.

We took it on the chin, Graham. It was all above board and knew that there wasn't anything ''fishy' about the situation. Rumours to the contrary proved to be a 'red herring'.
