I Got Mail

I received an email from my brother-in-law
with a photo of him in front of the Kremlin.
He described to me everything that he saw
in Moscow - where he did not stay long,
just one day or two as some tourists do -
as his destination was ultimately Hong Kong.
To explore the capital he made an early start,
first to Red Square, then G.U.M., a super store.
He liked the Metro station with its unique art,
the murals, the mosaics and ornate chandeliers
and admired the Tsar Bell, the world’s largest,
which, at more than 200 tons, is without peers.
Also handy to visit was the cathedral of St. Basil
that stands proudly at one end of Red Square,
its crazy confusion of colours enough to dazzle.
He would have loved to see the Bolshoi Ballet
that always delivers amazing performances
but time ran out and he had to be on his way.

Always interesting to have a
Always interesting to have a spot of armchair tour, Luigi, though I think it would be some of the wild parts I'd personall like to visit given the opportunity, but I think it's much too far - and the wild parts are probably each far from each other, so look out for some of those good TV tours, and enjoy what's near our door!
Enjoyed your subtle rhyming to aid the flow of the read as usual, too. Nice to see you back. Rhiannon
