Look here, said Taff,

I get the impression

that it is depression

that’s causing you pain

and driving you insane.

It might be that your wife

is the bane of your life.

You could always rebel

(it would be a bombshell)

but the right solution

is not revolution.

It isn’t a tragedy

so plan a strategy.

And if you’re fond

and true to your bond

buy her a jewel

to show you aren’t cruel.

If you want a big gem

I’ve got one of them

that I’m willing to sell

but you mustn’t yell

and call me a ragtag

when you see the price tag.
