Like It Or Not

Like it or not we live
a life full of contrasting,
conflicting attitudes.
Those who want change
are viewed as liberal
but the traditionalists
may be labelled 'prudes'.
The eponymous film says,
"Some Like It Hot";
so we must assume
that many others do not.
Sometimes though
it isn't so clear cut.
Take for instance football:
whereas I am from the South
I am a Man City fan
while, at the same time,
I dislike Millwall.
I'll deny that my feelings
are meant to be malevolent,
it is in my makeup
to be ambivalent.
You may think my argument
is a matter for debate
but I am of the opinion
that the human existence
consists of love and hate..
