A postcard arrived today;
it was addressed to me.
It was in a glass bottle
recovered from the sea.
It said, I am very sorry
for leaving you in the lurch
but I have a good reason
for not being at the church.
I am on a deserted island
but where I haven’t a clue.
I hope that this postcard
will safely reach you.
My dearest, believe me
that this is not a prank.
I am alive but marooned,
as my derelict ship sank.

Poor náufrago. You've hit on a startling similarity, Luigi: two forms of communication rarely replied to. Hope you're well.

Nice one Luigi,
loved the rhythm and rhyme that gave it a great flow.
