Put the flags out, the world is at peace.
That is the message we'd like to hear
and that is what the many-hued banners,
that wave in the wind in Geneva, tell us.
All the countries of the United Nations
have a distinctive and colourful emblem.
Red, white and blue are predominant,
the UK's and the U.S.'s flags have them.
The Romanian's contains yellow plus
vermilion red and cobalt blue,
Jamaica has green, black and gold,
Qatar has maroon and white too.
The flag of Niger has a circular dot.
Purple is the shade of Latvia's stripes
while in the Armenian tricolour orange
is described as the colour of apricot.

Very interesting Luigi!
Very interesting Luigi! Educational too. Our own flag, South-Africa, has more colours I count six. By this Nelson Mandela meant we are a rainbow nation. I love colours and what they mean sometimes I even make it up myself.
Yes, and Peace, it is sad how fast wars and their lessons are forgotten. How terrible the cost of war. But vey soon we don't realise how precious peace is and taken for granted.
The poem is good I like the half /-rhymes the rhyme is not cheap not forced. It's very good.
Goodnight Luigi! Tom
