It is seven o'clock,
you get to the station
but there are no trains
or any information.
you get to the station
but there are no trains
or any information.
Bemused commuters
get no satisfaction,
the departure board
is out of action.
It is even worse
than you might think:
your cellular phone
is on the blink.
than you might think:
your cellular phone
is on the blink.
You try the internet
but can't get a signal;
for all the passengers
the outlook's dismal.
but can't get a signal;
for all the passengers
the outlook's dismal.
It looks as if
there is no chance
for the seven-fifteen
to go to Penzance.
there is no chance
for the seven-fifteen
to go to Penzance.
All other routes
are closed likewise
and there's no one
who can advise.
are closed likewise
and there's no one
who can advise.
Then an announcement:
“Don't make a fuss,
the company, kindly,
is providing a bus.”
“Don't make a fuss,
the company, kindly,
is providing a bus.”
So we must show
a great deal of lenience
as all this is done
for our convenience.
a great deal of lenience
as all this is done
for our convenience.

I know exactly where you're coming from Luigi,
the amount of times trains get taken off or delayed. It must be so difficult if you rely on them to get to and from work, just glad I'm out of the rat race.
I like the rhythm and rhyme in this poem, it really works.
