It's not only bad weather
that's utterly barmy
it's the sanguine hue:
think of the Red Army
or else the Redcoats
the British fighters
who fought the rebels

I enjoyed this historical
I enjoyed this historical poem! You make some good points about coloured uniforms, or colour as a badge. Perhaps the Red Army would be a good one to add? or even the Redcoats?

A very entertaining history
A very entertaining history lesson, Luigi. Much enjoyed. I'm with you. Do not tolerate belligerent coloured apparel.

When I made my suggestion
When I made my suggestion about including the Red Army and the Redcoats I never imagined you would take these ideas up so quickly and insert them in your piece! But I am very pleased and impressed with how you treated them. I am glad to have been able to provoke further verses from you Luigi!
