Based on the Lobster Telephone by Salvador Dali
She had a radiant beauty
that's not easy to ignore.
She smiled when I served
the Lobster Thermidor.
Her tongue, a pink dart,
licked her upper lip.
I knew if I pleased her
she'd leave a large tip.
I remained obsequious,
attentive all the time.
By neglecting my duty
I would commit a crime.
I observed her partner,
the dinner companion;
his face, puffy and red,
was like a purple onion.
It seemed that he was
disinterested and bored
with this gorgeous girl
that I would have adored.
While he paid the bill,
I helped with her coat;
she thanked me profusely
and gave me a note.
I expected a gratuity
but found an odd thing;
with a telephone number
the words: Give me a ring.
