Think.

Was it for what I may regret that I said no to
You?
I sometimes wonder of him,
Then your face pushes in.
My lips pout in an uncomfortable distaste
And I force the picture out
Whilst trying not to
Regurgitate the violence I feel for you.
I tell him that I love you
But it was all by mistake, I never meant for him to think
His hopes soared; I’d be off his back, “If only I were right.”
He sighs to himself, “just my cousin
” I reply.
He speaks his hopes, tearing at the wounded whole.
I gag and choke on the constant strikes of it all.
I tell him of you, he laughs.
If he only knew the pain you put me through
Unintentionally may be;
Nails down my arms, claws upon my breasts
Talons on my arse
One hundred degrees of water
Blisters my skin,
Just trying to wipe away the dirt you covered me in.
And he laughs! Thinking it’s just a joke,
I hope he finds out one day, and I hope that he
Regrets and learns to
think.
