Your Love

You are the sweet rhythms deep in my chest.
You are the poems that line my paper.
You--my melodic melody, the best,
Those dancing vowels I tend to favor.
You are each red brick in our little house.
You are my magenta covers at night.
The crazy things you do can cause such shouts
From anger, love, or any strong might.
If I lay aching in that blue clothing,
Perplexed, surrounded by weeping white walls,
Packed on painkillers thinking I'm floating,
You're the only one who could make me fall.
Now, don't go trying something "appealing"
Only your love is needed for healing.
