14.A room without doors.
The wave’s crash against the rocks and hard sand, sea spray splashes high into the air as the cloudy skies remain dull and the air, cold. Jackson sits on a white chair staring out a large window which shows the uninviting coastline. He is in a daze of grief and confusion about his father, what happened to him, why did he try to kill Jackson and whether or not he has been captured or killed yet in the forest. He stares into the wide mug in front of him, the light brown tea slowly issuing steam as it cools. “Excuse me, sir?” says a small voice above him, “Are you Jackson Thorne?” Asks the young and timid waitress,
“Yes” Says Jackson dreamily without looking up,
“Umm, sorry to disturb you sir but the man at the bar wanted me to give you this?” She holds out a small glass screen about the size of a Christmas card and looks down at her feet. “Oh” asks Jackson questionably, taking the screen he thanks the girl as she scurries back into the kitchen.
The screen has a strip of metal along the bottom with just one button, looking up he sees a black man sitting at the bar. Sighing he presses the button and a small strip of white light moves across the screen, from left to right. Positively underwhelmed, Jackson looks glumly down at the screen as the light moves back and forth. He looks up at the man but the long bar is empty, just about to get up and leave the screen emits a loud beep. Jackson looks down but is suddenly engulfed in a cloud of thick black dust. Coughing and spluttering the dust presses in on him, burning his lungs and blurring his vision. His heart thumping in his head, Jackson collapses into darkness.

Feeling warm and comfortable Jackson wakes to bright shafts of morning sunlight pouring through a wall sized window, clumsily sitting up he looks out onto the beautiful yet unfamiliar landscape. Confused but still lightheaded he washes and dresses in the clothes he was wearing the previous day. Looking around the strange room he stands and walks all around, suddenly frantic he realizes that there are no doors that he can see. Pushing against the walls and opening cupboards he almost runs around the room becoming more and more agitated. Finally coming to the window he pushes on the clean glass leaving a sweaty hand print. He sighs, sitting down on the bed and buries his face in his hands. ‘Knock, Knock’ comes a rapping, but Jackson can’t work out where it is coming from. Looking around he stands up quickly, “Hello?” He says loudly.
A white panel in the wall slides to the side revealing an officer with dark skin and an a black uniform instead of green, with a silver button at his throat. Walking inside, he looks at Jackson and smiles, “Tea or coffee master Thorne?”
“What?” He snaps, “No, can you just tell me where I am?” He steps towards the officer, who is several inches taller than him.
“Tea” He says again slowly, “Or coffee?” his intense eyes staring defiantly at him.
“No,” Says Jackson angrily “where am I?” The officer smiles patronizingly,
“If you don’t need anything then I must excuse myself” He walks back towards the door,
“Hey, Wait!” Fuming, Jackson grabs the officers shoulder. Before he can think, the officer has grabs his arm with a gloved hand and twists it behind his back, immediate shooting pain makes Jackson cry out but the officers voice is still calm and formal. “Please, Master Thorne relax. You will be summoned shortly”
