I breathed on you,
mumbling meanings you didn't catch..
my life can go anywhere, i said
i can make anything
I'm alive, I burn..
Your thin face rustled, a twitch of chin..
I blew hope and you blinked.
Breathing on myself I lifted,
flew into fire.
My ears are sealed, you said
I live gently in my own prisons.
Do not try to reach me, move me.
I am caught in my own connections
like air in a stem.
My flames fanned freedom at your face.
You flicked its fate far..
sealing your words with slow precision,
you never listened and my voice dimmed..
drowning in your minds marred mirror.
Feet placed so, you sat with solemn certainty
across the days pond.

I blew hope and you blinked."

Loved it. The references.

Loved it. The references. Throwing away possibities by the other party. Standing firm against beautiful freedom, denying all that is soft and sensual and free and the open open heart that talks while he/she sat with solem certainty across the days pond. OK you can come alive again now. You haven't lost it.
