10th day! the Snowplough

On the tenth day, a heart broke -
in the house on the edge of the road.
He was squashed under a snow plough
as he spaded the snow off the path.

He said to his wife a day earlier -
"That it had to be done, whatever!"
and the snowman melted under the charge
of the engine deep throat.

"You said you would love me forever!"
she cried, her voice iced with pain.
Inside her ear; his voice gently came,
"Always, and always I'll remain,
.
Your one true and wonderful lover
your soulmate so linked in forever.
Don't cry for parting is sweetness.
We'll meet again at the Odeon's door."

"At the Odeon's door!" she complained,
"The last time we did that, we missed
the double feature!"

"Indeed I didn't,"
he laughing said, "Thats why
its forever!"
So with a smile she went to bed.
