leggings vulcanic near end fit later

I met her by accident a few days later by the lake, her face a mask of nervous
anxiety and joy.
"How are you?" I puffed out of breath, some days the lake run made me sweaty.
Only I reflected grimly, ladies didn't sweat they perspire!
"Not bad," she answered quickly, her voice a little high, she moved her hands
rapidly, I wondered if she'd resorted to the comfort of pills. For nerves...
"I've been trying to put it together now, not merely to record it, to fit the pieces,
from the past, from the present..."
"And...?"
"Well if there was something for me, what was it? Did they choose a person who
wanted not to give it me? Only I've heard that that's part of it..."
"That would fit!" I agreed, half stooped, the run had really hit me hard. I was
getting older. "Half the Ladies Triangle would fit in that. Malicious!"
"There has been a few of them in the past. Like the girl who wrote poisen pen
letters to get expelled. We got on well, yet her family and I had issues years
before."
"People who knew who you were and what you were entitled too? They did a will
about a year ago now, through the churches, not by the church for a grudge... I
don't think they knew who was who..."
"I heard of that," she said, "Only I can't get anyone to talk about it. I hear
rumblings about my name, and was it me they were looking for etc... then they
clam up. Not allowed to talk to me."
"I've heard they aren't entirely happy with it either, and most of them are honest!
Perhaps within the next few weeks, they'll check things out again with the police."
"What can I think of church people if they don't." she said. "There's an old estate."
"The volcanic one with the old mill?" I replied, "Not worth much, they bungled
badly, moved the water from the village and bunged up the vulcano safety valve
invented by Kingdom Brunel."
"Bad mistake!"
"Not sure if they have any way back. History is kinda my thing."
"That smelly field!" she said, "When a new volcano is born, does the land fall
inwards first and then go up?"
"I go to church," I replied, slowly, changing the subject, knowing that the
malicious, the devil worshippers were within the church, already as they had been
years ago, Perhaps not Aliester Crowley, not as written about certainly, "I know
its not fashionable, I believe in God." I paused, the day was so quiet even the bird
chorus had ceased.
"I used to go... years ago..." Her voice was uncertain. I could imagine. She'd been
brought up Christian, because we all had. She'd mouthed the words, half
believing in magic, half believing that Christ would save her personally. Then she
really surprised me, she stopped and looked at me pointedly.
"Do you go to the Bible Study groups?"
It was an accusation. "No," I replied, "I hear that's almost a closed group. I nearly
did, then..." I'd heard they were unfriendly. So many groups had been involved,
even the farmers had had an agenda. Involving old feelings about Africanna's and
heritages.
"It's where the plans were laid!"
"Are you sure?" I was suspicious, how could she know that?
"They want to stop my every chance, I've heard them say it." She was turning red,
beginning to cry, she was falling apart. "You don't know what I've been through!"
I knew some of it. I'd been involved. I was guilty as hell in some ways.
"Wasn't only them." I muttered, so many people out there had a grudge, or thought
they had a right to have a grudge. No matter what they had done to cause the
present.
"Has anything happened today?"
"They are stuck, in a loop, they still broadcast to me even past my physical move...
sounds so weird."
"Alright, take a breath, and tell me what happened."
"It's as if they are close, and yet the noices seem as if they are still over there.
Someone in a heavy vehicle came round to take something away, and told them it
was a pity as it was 'my chance'."
"What did they say..."
"That I was dead, or should have been there, on time... etc..."
"No notification?"
"None, unless they had my post, or were working for them." she replied tiredly, "I
want to do something about it, so I'm going to write to someone I've heard of from
the past. From what's been on Sky News they might know more than I do..."
"Either them or the Church?"
"Perhaps, in my father's day it would have been first the Church, and then them...
they head hunt for good people. They are also under attack."
"Times change." I said, "Do they still head hunt?
She paused, "I'd better get on. I just feel better having made up my mind to do
something about it."
"Congratulations," I said picking up my feet and jogging off into the sunrise. "See
you at work - later!
"Later!"
I knew she'd been using me as a sounding board, and that saying something could
get her put away again. Who would believe all that? Broadcasting? To do with
radio waves? What did she think thought was - electrical surges? Perhaps she
heard voices under electrical pylons....? I'd heard of some weird stuff myself...
Pity I didn't know about geology, who knew what volcano's came up like?
