If I were an Olympian...
If I were an Olympiann I'd stretch,
long arms out straight and pose
a toned effigy of pure Godliness -
.
against the shadows of my years.
I would run through the winners
as lightening races thunder -
.
the torch would highlight muscles
in my face - I wouldn't aim to avoid
the stairs, or hold sticks with sore hands -
.
or use the chairlift to rise me up.
It would be a natural element:
this pure miracle - this perfection.
If I was.. an Olympian.
