It wasn't a comet that killed them, blocking out the light of the Sun
So the plants couldn't grow anymore and starvation had begun.

But aliens live forever, they never grow old or die.
A squadron of space ships from Sirius B
Had in each vessel a large fruit tree.
Ten thousand years stuck in their ships,
They were tired of the fruit and its little green pips.
When the first alien crew landed on Earth they saw meat, meat, meat galore,

'It's eyes would be next to its brain, an alien would have a head.
And if it needed its hands to work it would have to stand on its legs.'

Marconi was called Isaac Newton a few centuries back in time,
Now he works in a university at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
