Joanie's Poem
It comes, whispered, it lingers, sensed
then swells in tumultuous surge
it forms...
...a thought fanned, in tumbled letters
spin, set one upon the next...
dittoing dots in bended line from
depth's essense spanned,
stilled in time...
all arise, hesitant, dazed become
frayed phrased meaning less,
disengaged...
dare I chance...seize this echo, vibrating
last...cast adrift, out of sync
barely grasped...yet caught
the thought
you......you
that spark...the book of splendor sings
you......you
whose hands unearth antiquity's spring...
treasures thrust from ancient dust...
awaken millenial sleep
you......you
whose pen wrought in stone, truths
hidden by time shown...known
you......you
whose wit lights ten thousand
candle glows, illuminating mind's
painting brush in rainbow rush,
hues sublime all stand alone
righteous, strong, firm-against the stride
You......you
turn away and flee
sun's warm renew
step behind steadfast, bound
from life's well lived possibility...
breaths breathed, born of trapezium cluster
with no respite, no farewell voiced...no penned advised...
you......you
mount your steed in exit flight
leave in wake...in thought, in form
tumbling hearts spun...
hands wrought in bended knee in
sounding cries in ties from depths
that time denies...in swelling surge
spanned, steeped in tolled,
mined...
thoughts once their's, our's, mine...
you......you
betrayed life
yours......yours
rage in thunder......
why...? by MarciaMarcia

You have excelled youself,
You have excelled youself, Marcia. Each re-reading of this epic poem brings new rewards. You have a unique mastery of language and use words to convey deep emotions and profound thoughts in the way a composer might arrange the elements of a great orchestral piece.
